i wrote three songs in three different rooms on my last night of the apartment i lived in for five years. this is the last song i wrote that night.

so i finally cleaned my room today.
things are finally looking alright.

swore i wasn't going to write about you.
but you always seem to seep in at night.

it's like the eulogy i wrote for The Darkness.
before he even died.

i could tell right away we weren't gonna be perfect.
but it didn't stop me from tryin'.

you are all that's left in this room.
you're all i have left inside.

i'd burn all these memories just to have one with you.

this room has been my home since before i met you.
it'll be my home for one more night.

i hope someday "home" is where i'll find you.
i pray our home is where you'll hide.

but you always sneak inside.
